The RT6324 is a high-efficiency synchronous buck converter featuring a pseudo-constant 600kHz switching frequency and supporting up to 8A continuous output current. It operates over a wide input voltage range from 3V to 23V and supports 2-bit VID and Low Power Mode (LPM#) for dynamic output voltage adjustment in VDD_MEM applications. The device adopts Advanced Constant On-Time (ACOT®) control architecture, providing ultra-fast transient response while minimizing the number of required external components. In steady-state operation, the ACOT® architecture maintains a nearly constant switching frequency over varying input voltage, load, and output voltage conditions, simplifying EMI filter design. To optimize efficiency under light-load conditions, the RT6324 operates in Diode Emulation Mode (DEM) and incorporates a spread-spectrum function to help reduce acoustic noise. The device also includes a Power-Good (PGOOD) indicator for simplified system sequencing. Comprehensive protection features are integrated, including cycle-by-cycle current limiting, over-voltage protection (OVP), under-voltage protection (UVP), input under-voltage lockout (UVLO), and over-temperature protection (OTP). The RT6324 is available in a compact VQFN 2mm × 3mm 13-pin (FC) package and supports a recommended junction temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
