RT8566 是每个通道输出能力达 120mA 的8通道 LED 驱动器。它是一个电流模式 Boost 转换器，100kHZ~1MHz 可调的开关切换频率可通过 RT 引脚进行调节，输入电压范围 9V~28V。
输出电压 PWM 调节回路选择拥有最高 LED 串电压的 LED 引脚并将其调整至 0.6V ，借此容许各个 LED 串之间的电压不一致性存在。RT8566 自动检测并断开 LED 未连接或断裂的 LED 通道，避免出现 VOUT 的过压状况。一致性误差在 1.5% 以内的 LED 通道电流可以通过一只电阻进行设定，具有很高对比度的纯数字式 PWM 调光可以通过在 PWM 引脚施加 PWM 信号予以实现。
当异常状况（开路/短路/过热）发生时，一个状态信号将被传递到系统部分让 IC 进入关机状态。
RT8566 的封装是 TSSOP-28（含散热焊盘）。
