RT8572 是每個通道輸出能力達 60mA 的8通道 LED 驅動器。它是一個電流模式 Boost 轉換器，100kHZ~1MHz 可調的開關切換頻率可通過 RT 引腳進行調節，輸入電壓範圍 9V~28V。輸出電壓 PWM 調節迴路選擇擁有最高 LED 串電壓的 LED 引腳並將其調整至 0.6V ，借此容許各個 LED 串之間的電壓不一致性存在。RT8572 自動檢測並斷開 LED 未連接或斷裂的 LED 通道，避免出現 VOUT 的過壓狀況。一致性誤差在 1.5% 以內的 LED 通道電流可以通過一隻電阻進行設定，具有很高對比的純數位式 PWM 調光可以通過在 PWM 引腳施加 PWM 信號予以實現。當異常狀況（開路/短路/過熱）發生時，一個狀態信號將被傳遞到系統部分讓 IC 進入關機狀態。RT8572 的封裝是 SOP-24 。
