RT8005為內建P-通道 與 N-通道 功率級MOSFET 開關元件的PWM同步降壓型DC/DC轉換器，輸入範圍2.4V至5.5V，可輸出電流達1A，可調輸出電壓最低可至0.5V。RT8005適用于由單一鋰電池或鎳氫/鎳鎘電池供電的可攜式電子裝置。RT8005由於操作在PWM固定2MHz的切換頻率，可適用較小的 CIN, COUT 電容與電感元件的設計，並內建兩組低RDS(ON) 分別為高端230mΩ 與低端180mΩ 的MOSFET開關元件，減少電路板中所需的設計面積，只需加入電阻、電容與一個電感元件即可完成設計，另包含內建的緩啟動機制、電路致能控制、過熱與過電流保護等功能。RT8005採用小型可節省電路設計面積的VDFN-10L 3x3的封裝。
