RT8056为高效率脉波宽度调变(PWM)的双通道同步降压型 DC/DC 转换器。输入范围2.8V 至5.5V时，输出电流可达1A。RT8056适用于由单一锂电池供电的可携式电子装置，例如移动电话、PDA、PC WLAN卡与掌上型装置。RT8056提供了两种操作模式:PWM/低压降自动切换模式与关机模式。内部的低RDS(ON)同步整流元件降低了操作在PWM模式的的导通损耗，且不需外加萧特基二极管于实际设计中。RT8056当PWM操作时无法连续导通上端P-MOSFET时，进入低压降模式。当EN脚位为低电位时，进入关机模式，消耗电流小于0.1μA。由于操作在恒定频率1.5MHz，可由较小封装的元件进行滤波设计得到较平滑的切换纹波。
