RT8080为高效率脉波宽度调变(PWM)的双通道同步降压型 DC/DC 转换器。输入范围2.8V 至5.5V时，输出电流可达1A。RT8080适用于由单一锂电池供电的可携式电子装置，例如移动电话、PDA、PC WLAN卡与掌上型装置。RT8080提供了两种操作模式:PWM/低压降自动切换模式与关机模式。内部的低RDS(ON)同步整流元件降低了操作在PWM模式的的导通损耗，不需外加萧特基二极管于实际设计中。RT8080当PWM操作时无法连续导通上端P-MOSFET时，进入低压降模式。当EN脚位为低电位时，进入关机模式，此时电流消耗小于0.1μA。由于操作在恒定频率1.5MHz，切换纹波可由较小封装的元件进行滤波设计，RT8080采用WDFN-6L 2x2的封装，可应用于小PCB的应用。其他功能包含软启动、2%精确度的参考电压、过热保护和过电流保护。
