The RT7211 is a low quiescent current USB Type-C Power Delivery (PD) controller designed for flexible source or sink applications. The embedded MCU and Bi-phase Mark Coding (BMC) transmitter manage PD protocol communication, while integrated DAC and ADC modules deliver precise voltage and current regulation. As a source controller, it is suitable for off-line AC-DC converters, or for DC-DC converter applications such as car chargers when used with an external buck or buck-boost controller. As a sink controller, it offers a simple and cost-effective solution for power negotiation, featuring an I2C interface and two GPIOs for enhanced flexibility and easy integration with an external MCU.The recommended junction temperature range is -40°C to 125°C, and the ambient temperature range is -40°C to 105°C.
