RT6542是高性能的同步Buck PWM控制器，可应用于笔记本电脑中将电池高电压转换为低电压为CPU内核、I/O芯片组、存储器等供电，具有效率高、瞬态响应特性好、输出电压精度高等特性。它采用固定导通时间控制架构的PWM控制架构，可在很宽的输入/输出电压比范围内工作，提供100ns量级的负载瞬变响应速度，同时保持基本恒定的工作频率。它在应用中无需使用传统电流模式控制架构使用的电流检测电阻，降低了成本，提高了效率。它具备驱动大型同步整流MOSFET开关的能力，可在轻载时工作于二极管仿真模式以提高效率。它支持片上调节输出电压的功能，仅需输入数字式控制信号即可在0.85V~1.05V间改变其输出电压，其最低输出电压为0.7V。其封装形式为WDFN-14L 3x2。
