RT8099 是一款脉宽调制 (PWM) DC/DC 降压转换器，可在 2.7V 至 5.5V 的宽输入电压范围内提供 0.6A 输出电流。RT8099 非常适合由单节锂离子电池供电的便携式电子设备，例如手机、PDA 与手持式终端。具低 R<sub>DS(ON)</sub> 的内部同步整流器可大幅降低 PWM 模式下的导通损耗。实际应用中无需外部肖特基势垒二极管。当一般 PWM 无法提供稳压输出电压时，RT8099 会通过持续导通高侧 P-MOSFET 进入低压差模式。当 EN 引脚被拉低时，RT8099 会进入关断模式，且耗电低于 0.1μA。由于 1.5MHz 高开关频率，开关纹波可通过小封装滤波元件轻易平滑化。其他功能包括软启动、自动放电、较低内部参考电压、过温保护与过电流保护。RT8099 采用小型 UDFN-6L 1.6x1.6 封装，可节省 PCB 空间。
