RT8171 是符合 VR12.1 规格的 CPU 供电控制器，含有单相同步 Buck 控制器，可输出单一电压轨为 CPU 内核供电。它具有零负载线功能，支持零负载线应用。它采用立锜专有的源于有限直流增益补偿的电流模式控制技术的G-NAVP<sup>TM</sup> （Green Native AVP）控制拓扑，使之成为易于使用的 PWM 控制器，完全满足 Intel CPU 的 AVP（Active Voltage Positioning）需求。在 G-NAVP<sup>TM</sup> 拓扑的基础上，RT8171 还同时具有在负载瞬变期间的快速响应机制以优化其 AVP 性能， 支持在不同操作状态下的模式转换功能。它集成了一个串行 VID（SVID）接口以方便和 Intel VR12.1 兼容的 CPU 进行通讯，以快、慢和自然变化三种不同的电压/电流 变动率支持 VID 运行中改变功能。借助 G-NAVP<sup>TM</sup> 拓扑的支持，其工作频率可随着 VID、负载和输入电压的变化而变化，即使处于 CCM 状态下，其效率也能得到最大化的提升。内建的高精度 DAC 将 SVID 编码转换为 0.25V~1.52V 电压，其间级差为 5mV，其对应关系见表1。内部整合的高精度 ADC 可用于进行快速响应或过流阈值之类的基础设定。它提供了 VR 准备好信号输出，具有如过压保护、欠压保护、负压保护、过流保护和欠压锁定之类的保护功能。其封装为 WQFN-32L 4x4。
