RT8207 为 DDR II/DDRIII/低功耗DDRIII/DDRIV/低功耗DDRIV 内存系统提供了完整的电源供应，其中集成了一个同步 Buck 架构的 PWM 控制器和一个具有 1.5A 电流吐纳能力的追踪型线性稳压器，还有一个经过缓冲处理的低噪声参考电压源。</br>其中的 PWM 控制器为笔记本电脑的 RAM 内存部分提供了将电池高电压转换为低压供电的高效率方案，具有优异的瞬态响应能力和极高的输出电压精度。它所采用的固定导通时间 PWM 控制架构能很容易地面对很宽的输入/输出电压比率范围，能在维持相对稳定的工作频率情况下以快达 100ns 的实时响应能力对负载瞬变做出回应。</br>RT8207 抛弃了传统电流模式 PWM 控制器中使用电阻进行电流检测的方式，降低了成本，提高了效率。由于具备驱动大功率同步整流 MOSFET 的能力，其效率也得到了改善。其 Buck 架构容许将很高的电池电压直接转换为系统需要的电压也对效率提升做出了贡献。</br>具有 1.5A 电流吐纳能力的线性稳压器仅需使用 20μF 的陶瓷电容即可维持其快速瞬态响应特性，它还容许使用外部电源输入以最大限度的减少总的功率消耗。RT8207 支持所有的睡眠状态控制功能：在 S3 状态下置 VTT 于高阻状态；在 S4/S5 状态下对 VDDQ、VTT 和 VTTREF进行放电操作（软关机）。</br>RT8207包含了所有的保护特性，热关机功能也包含其中，其封装为 WQFN-20L 3x3 。
