RT8567 是一款高效率的白光 LED 驱动器，设计用于驱动一个 LED 数组作为 LCD 屏的背光源。它包含一个电流模式 Boost 转换器，用于驱动多达6个并联连接的 LED 串，每串 LED 可以是多达12只 LED 的串联，与每串 LED 连接的电流源的吸入电流匹配误差在最大 ±2% 以内，确保各 LED 串之间的亮度一致性。为了给电流源吸入电流的操作预留足够的空间，Boost 控制器对各个回馈引脚中的最低电压进行监测并进行调节，同时确保得到一个最优的转换效率。RT8567 的输入电压范围为 2.7V~24V ，可输出 5mA~40mA 可调的 LED 电流，其内部功率开关的导通电阻为 250mΩ ，耐压为 43V ，工作在电流模式的控制器提供逐周期的过流保护，集成化的 PWM 调光功能可实现精确的 LED 电流控制。 PWM 输入调光信号的频率范围可在 200Hz~25kHz 之间进行选择，调光过程不会导致 LED 上的冲击电流和电感上的冲击电流。功率开关的切换频率也是可调的，其范围为 500kHz~2MHz，这使得效率和元件尺寸的选择可以很灵活。
