RT8802 是2/3/4/5相同步 Buck 控制器，专门为 Intel<sup>®</sup> / AMD 下一代微处理器供电而设计。它使用了内建的8位 DAC 用于转换来自微处理器的 VID 编码为输出电压，该 VID 编码与输出电压之间的对应关系与 Intel<sup>®</sup> VRD10.x 和 VRD11 内核电源所定义的数据是一致的，其级间电压差为 6.25mV ，精度为0.5%。RT8802 采用了创新的时分 DCR 电流检测技术对各相电流进行检测并实施电流平衡操作、负载线设定和过流保护，其中采用了公用放大器来检测各项电流，使得采用多个放大器的传统电流检测方法中的放大器之间的偏移误差和线性不一致性得到消除。由于现代的主板普遍使用了低于毫欧级的电感，小小的偏移和线性不一致性即可导致可观的相间电流不平衡，这种技术可确保大规模量产中的很好的电流平衡效果。RT8802 的设计中还包含了多种其它特性，如过流保护、可程序设计软起动、过压保护和输出偏移量设定等。其封装为 VQFN-40L 6x6 。
