R7780 是一款高性能、电流模式、有高压启动元件整合在内的 PWM 控制器。在启动过程中，为能有快速启动，电流源通过整合的高压元件对 VDD 电容器充电，而它在一般正常操作时是不会消耗功率的。R7780 提供用户一个优异的、有更高效率、少量外部元件、低成本解决方案的 AC/DC 电源应用。</br>在微小型 SOP-7 封装之下，它还具有频率抖动，欠压锁定 (UVLO)，前缘遮蔽 (LEB)，内部斜率补偿等特点。它提供了过温保护 (OTP)，过负载保护 (OLP)，和过压保护 (OVP) 等完整的保护。</br>此外，它也提供了当转换器处于睡眠模式时，零功率应用的一种特殊介面。 EN/DIS 接脚从次级纯量控制器接收 ON/OFF 信号。在电源关闭时，控制器可完全关闭，只需相当低的功耗。
