RT7790GBQ 专为搭配 RT7208E 等控制器而设计，可提供完整的 USB PD（Power Delivery）或可程式化电源供应器（Programmable Power Adapter）解决方案。 RT7790GBQ 整合双向控制功能，可透过脉冲变压器向 RT7208E 传送零电压切换（ZVS）脉冲讯号，并接收回授脉冲讯号以调节输出电压与输出电流。因此，RT7790GBQ 可借由一次侧 MOSFET 的 ZVS 操作达成高转换效率，并降低高输入电压条件下 MOSFET 的工作温度。 RT7790GBQ 具备多项创新的系统控制功能，可支援宽范围输出电压设计。其中一项创新功能为 DMAG 脚位，可感测输出电压并自动调整控制回路增益以维持系统稳定性，同时调整电流限制以符合限制功率来源（LPS, Limited Power Source）安全规范要求。 RT7790GBQ 同时内建完整保护功能，包括大电容输入欠压启动/关机保护（Bulk-Capacitor Brown-In/Brown-Out Protection）、VDD 过压保护（VDD OVP）、输出过压/欠压保护（Output OVP/UVP）、同步整流器短路保护（SRSP, Secondary Rectifier Short-Circuit Protection）以及外部过温保护（External OTP）。 在定功率输出应用中，可透过于电流感测电阻与 CS 脚位之间连接补偿电阻，实现全输入电压范围下的精准线路补偿（Line Compensation）。此外，RT7790GBQ 还提供多种保护机制，以防止次级侧元件故障所造成的系统异常。 实际应用中，RT7790GBQ 搭配次级控制器 RT7208E 使用，可实现稳健且安全的电源设计，有效避免因不同装置、线材、插头及插座错误连接而产生的各种潜在故障情况。
