RT8005为内建P-通道 与 N-通道 功率级MOSFET 开关元件的PWM同步降压型DC/DC转换器，输入范围2.4V至5.5V，可输出电流达1A，可调输出电压最低可至0.5V。RT8005适用于由单一锂电池或镍氢/镍镉电池供电的可携式电子装置。RT8005由于操作在PWM固定2MHz的切换频率，可适用较小的 C<sub>IN</sub>, C<sub>OUT</sub> 电容与电感元件的设计，并内建两组低R<sub>DS(ON)</sub> 分别为高端230mΩ 与低端180mΩ 的MOSFET开关元件，减少电路板中所需的设计面积，只需加入电阻、电容与一个电感元件即可完成设计，另包含内建的缓启动机制、电路致能控制、过热与过电流保护等功能。RT8005采用小型可节省电路设计面积的VDFN-10L 3x3的封装。
