RT8020 为双通道高效率脉波宽度调变(PWM)降压型DC/DC 转换器。可在宽输入范围2.5V 至 5.5V输出1A电流。RT8020适用于由单一锂电池供电的可携式电子装置，例如行动电话、PDA与掌上型装置。</br>RT8020 具备两种操作模式:PWM/低压降 自动切换模式以及关机模式。操作于PWM模式时可借由内部具备低R<sub>DS(ON)</sub>的同步整流元件大幅的降低导通损耗。并不需外加萧特基二极体于实际应用中。</br>RT8020当PWM操作时无法连续导通上端PMOS时，进入低压降模式。当EN脚位为低电位时，进入关机模式，消耗电流小于0.1μA。</br>由于操作在固定频率1.5MHz，可由较小封装的元件进行滤波设计得到较平滑的切换涟波，可借由WDFN-12L 3x3的封装提供小面积PCB的设计应用。其他特色包括缓启动、具2%精准度的低内部参考电压、过温保护与过电流保护等。
