RT8055为高效率的同步整流降压型DC/DC转换器，输入电压范围从2.6V至5.5V，输出可调范围0.8V至5V，输出电流至3A。内建的同步低导通阻的功率开关，增进了整体效率并减少了需要外加萧特基二极体的必要性。切换频率可由外部电阻进行设计。借由近100%责任周期的操作提供了低压差转换的应用可有效延长掌上型装置的电池使用寿命。电流模式操作与外部的补偿机制可因应大范围的输出电容与负载变化的暂态回应进行优化的补偿。RT8055强制操作在连续的PWM模式，大幅降低电压涟波值与RF杂讯所造成的干扰。RT8055采用WDFN-10L 3x3与SOP-8 (裸露焊盘)的封装规格。
