RT8082为高效率的同步降压型 DC/DC 转换器，输入电压范围从2.7V至5.5V，可调的输出电压范围1V至5V，输出电流可达3A。内建的同步低导通阻的功率开关，增进了整体效率并减少了需要外加萧特基二极体的必要性。由于固定操作在频率2MHz，由开关切换产生的电压涟波成分可轻易地由小型封装的滤波元件滤除。近100%的责任周期操作允许输出低压降转换，适用于电池做为输入电源的可携式系统。电流模式架构与外部的补偿机制可因应大范围的输出电容与负载变化的暂态回应进行优化的补偿。RT8082强制操作在PWM模式，以有效减少涟波电压大小并降低杂讯与RF所造成的干扰。
