RT8165A 是集成了门极驱动器的双通道单相同步 Buck 架构 PWM 控制器，与 Intel VR12/IMVP7 规格相容，有内建的串列 VID (SVID) 介面可用于与符合 Intel VR12/IMVP7 规格的 CPU 进行通讯，其差分远端输出电压检测功能和内建的高精度 DAC 相结合可得到精确的输出电压。RT8165A 支援 VR12/IMVP7 相容的电源管理状态和 VID 动态改变功能，可工作在DEM模式（PS2时）和强制 CCM 模式（PS1/PS0时）这两种管理模式之下。立锜专有的 G-NAVP™ (Green Native AVP) 使得 AVP (Active Voltage Postioning) 设计很容易实现并且非常稳定，借助该控制技术， DEM 和 CCM 模式的效率都得到了改善。RT8165A 内建的高精度 ADC 可用于平台参数设定，诸如无负载电压偏移量和过流限制值等参数都可通过该系统进行设定。两路转换器都有独立的输出准备好信号输出。晶片还包括了完整的故障保护功能，其中包括过压保护、欠压保护、负压保护、过流保护和欠压锁定等。RT8165A 的封装式 WQFN-48L 6x6 。
