RT8170A 是符合 VR12.5 和 VR12.6 规格的集成了驱动器的单相 CPU 电源控制器，采用立锜特有的基于有限直流增益误差放大器的电流模式控制架构的 G-NAVP<sup>TM</sup> (Green Native AVP) 控制技术，具有易于设定的电压电压下降特性，符合所有 Intel CPU 对 AVP （Adaptive Voltage Positioning）性能的需求。 G-NAVP<sup>TM</sup> 控制技术赋予 RT8170A 在面临负载瞬变时的快速回应机制，可以优化 AVP 性能。RT8170A 可以不同的操作方式支援模式转换功能，有内建的串列 VID 介面可与 VR12.5 和 VR12.6 相容的 CPU 进行通讯，并可以不同的电压/电流 变动率支援 VID 的动态变化。利用 G-NAVPTM 控制技术的支持，即使工作在 CCM 模式下的 RT8170A 的工作频率也可随着 VID、负载电流和输入电压的变化而变化，以使效率达到最大化。在 G-NAVP<sup>TM</sup> 技术之外，还有 CCRCOT (Constant Current Ripple Constant On Time)技术在整个输入、输出范围内提供极好的输出电压涟波指标。内建的高精度 DAC 转换器将 SVID 编码转换为 0.5V~3.04V 的电压，级差仅为 10mV。RT8170A 也集成了高精度的 ADC 用于平台的基础设定功能，可以设定无负载偏移量和过流保护阈值。它还具有 VR 准备好输出信号，有包括过压保护、欠压保护、负压保护、过流保护和欠压闭锁在内的完备的故障保护功能，其封装为 WQFN-32L 4x4。
