RT8203 为双开关型电源供应器(Switch Mode Power Supply ,SMPS)的驱动控制器，适用于电池驱动系统的应用。RT8203包含两组脉波宽度调变(PWM)控制器，输出可调范围为2V至5.5V，亦可适用于固定5V或3.3V的应用中。此外并包含两组线性调节器，可提供5V与3.3V的固定电压输出。每组线性调节器可提供至100mA的输出电流以供应SMPS 的自举电容充电应用。RT8203包括上电顺序、电源良好信号指示(PGOOD)、内部缓启动以及输出放电缓关机功能以防止关机过程的负压产生。RichTek专有的Mach-PWM™ 具备“即时”回应、PWM固定导通时间的控制架构不需透过电阻感测即可进行操作，并能在固定的切换频率下针对负载的暂态变化提供100ns快速回应。独有的超音速模式可让频率操作在25kHz 以上，降低在音讯应用上的干扰。其他特色包含二极体模拟，增加在轻载应用时的效率、PWM固定频率操作模式，降低RF干扰。RT8203 提供由脚位输入讯号决定切换频率的功能，允许SMPS的输出5V/3.3V的操作条件分别在200kHz/300kHz或 400kHz/500kHz 工作频率。RT8203提供SSOP-28 的封装。
