RT8208E/F 是采用固定导通时间控制技术的 PWM 控制器，提供4种电阻设定的直流输出电压，输出电压的可设定范围为 0.75V~3.3V，可通过控制其 G0/G1 输入实现输出电压的变换，为需要输出电压变换的系统提供总体方案成本最低解决方案。在电压变换期间，RT8208E/F 自动遮罩 Power Good 输出以避免错误的保护动作。由于采用固定导通时间控制技术，它可很容易地面对输入/输出比很宽的环境，对负载瞬变提供 100ns 的“即时”回应速度，同时维持基本固定的工作频率，具有转换效率高，卓越的瞬态回应特性和高精度的电压输出，可将笔记型电脑的电池高电压转换为 CPU 内核、图形处理器、I/O 和晶片组需要的低压电源。RT8208E/F 不使用传统的电流模式 PWM 控制架构中的电流检测电阻，降低了成本，提高了效率。其效率的进一步提升还来自于其具有的驱动大型同步整流 MOSFET 的能力，使其可将电池高电压直接转换为系统需要的电压，这也使得效率实现了最大化。此外，它还具有软启动、过压保护、可程式设计过流保护和无重叠的门极驱动等特性。其封装为 WQFN-16L 3x3。
