RT8209N/P PWM 控制器具有转换效率高、卓越的瞬态回应特性和高精度的电压输出，可将笔记型电脑的电池高电压转换为 CPU 内核、图形处理器、I/O 和晶片组需要的低压电源。由于采用固定导通时间控制技术，它可很容易地面对输入/输出比很宽的环境，对负载瞬变提供 100ns 的“即时”回应速度，同时维持基本固定的工作频率。RT8209N/P 不使用传统的电流模式 PWM 控制架构中的电流检测电阻，降低了成本，提高了效率。其效率的进一步提升还来自于其具有的驱动大型同步整流 MOSFET 的能力，使其可将电池高电压直接转换为系统需要的电压，这也使得效率实现了最大化，可为 CPU 内核、晶片组、DRAM 或其它低压系统提供低达 0.75V 的电源供应。RT8209N 的封装为 WQFN-16L 3x3，RT8209L 的封装为 WDFN-14L 3.5x3.5。
