RT8228A PWM 控制器具备高效率、优异的暂态响应能力及高精度直流输出电压控制，可将笔记型电脑中的高电压电池电源降压，以产生 CPU 核心、I/O 以及晶片组 RAM 所需的低电压电源。 RT8228A 采用固定导通时间（Constant On-Time）PWM 控制架构，可轻松应对宽范围输入与输出电压比，并在负载瞬态变化时提供仅 100ns 的「即时启动（Instant-On）」响应，同时维持相对固定的开关频率。 RT8228A 透过省略传统电流模式 PWM 控制器所需的电流感测电阻（Current Sense Resistor），在降低系统成本的同时提升转换效率。此外，其可驱动大尺寸同步整流 MOSFET，并于轻载条件下进入二极体模拟模式（Diode Emulation Mode），进一步提高效率。 降压架构使 RT8228A 能直接将高电压电池电源转换为低电压输出，达到最佳电源转换效率。音讯跳频模式（ASM, Audio Skipping Mode）可将开关频率维持在 25kHz 以上，以消除音讯应用中的可听噪音。 RT8228A 适用于 CPU 核心电源、晶片组电源、DRAM 电源及其他低至 0.5V 的低电压供电应用。 RT8228A 采用 WQFN-12L（2mm × 2mm）封装。
