RT8290A 为高效率的同步降压型DC/DC转换器，输入电压范围从4.5V至23V，输出电流至3A。RT8290A的电流模式架构与外部的补偿机制可因应大范围的输出电容与负载变化的暂态响应进行最佳化的补偿。逐周期形式的限流机制可在输出短路时提供电路保护作用，缓启动机制则可消除启动瞬间的输入电流涌浪的问题。此外RT8290A提供输出低电压保护与过热关机保护功能，低电流(<3µA)的关机模式则可断开与输出的连接，实现简易的电池供电系统中的电源管理。实现简易的电池供电系统中的电源管理。RT8290A采用SOP-8(裸露焊盘)的封装规格。
