RT8540 是一个高效的同步 Boost 转换器，具备输出最大 1.5A 电流的能力，可驱动多达3只 LED，是单节锂离子/聚合物电池供电的闪光灯应用的理想选择。RT8540 通过切换内部上下桥电晶体开关维持输出电流的稳定，这些开关以 2MHz 的固定频率进行 PWM 切换，容许使用小型电感和输出电容，使之成为小型电池供电应用的优选。它含有 STRB0、STRB1 和 Tx-MASK 输入以简化手电筒和闪光灯与摄像模组之间的同步问题，其预设的计时器可被用于在用户可程式设计的延时以后终止一次闪光事件，或是作为一个安全特性被使用。它可根据电池电压条件自动优化 LED 闪光电流预算。RT8540 不仅作为一个额定电流源那样工作，它也可以作为具备降低输出电压能力的升压稳压器那样工作。它含有过压保护、过流保护能力，并且含有热管理系统对器件进行保护。当它处于关机状态时，电流消耗低于 1μA。其封装为 WL-CSP-20B 1.82x2.22(BSC)。
