RT8812A 是针对高性能影像处理器和电脑应用的3/2/1相同步 Buck 架构 PWM 控制器，它将固定导通时间(COT) PWM 控制器、两组包含自举二极体的 MOSFET 驱动器、电流平衡电路和诸如过压保护、欠压保护、电流限制和热关机保护等众多的保护功能集成于单一的 WQFN-20L 3x3 的封装中，还采用了通过 R<sub>DS(ON)</sub> 进行的电流检测技术。它的电流限制是通过连续电感电流检测技术实现的，而通过 R<sub>DS(ON)</sub> 进行的电流检测则用于精准的电流平衡操作。RT8812A 通过对回馈电压的调节并使之跟踪外部输入的参考电压来进行稳压操作，还使用了 PWM-VID 动态输出电压控制技术来生成外部参考电压供自身使用，实现了通过调节 PWM 信号的责任周期即可改变其输出电压的效果。除此以外，它还支援可调的工作频率、动态相数控制、内/外部软启动、电源状态指示、使能等功能。
