RT8878A 是 4+2 相 PWM 控制器，符合 AMD SVI2 电压调节器规范，支援同时为 CPU 内核（VDD）和 CPU 的北桥部分（VDDNB）供电，它采用立锜专有的 G-NAVP(Green-Native AVP) CCRCOT（Constant Current Ripple Constant On-Time）技术，易于配置设定，完全符合 AMD AVP(active Voltage Positioning) VDD/VDDNB 的要求。其压降特性可通过对误差放大器直流增益的调整进行设置，符合 AVP 性能需要的瞬态回应特性也可以通过适当的补偿获得。该控制器可通过介面发送 VOTF 完成资讯，可将 VDD 和 VDDNB 的电压、电流编码资讯发送给 CPU。它可以单相和二极体模拟模式工作，在不同负载条件下金额可获得高达90%的效率。通过对端子的设定，RT8878A 具有 Power Good 指示、过流指示和双重的过流保护机制、过压保护、欠压保护和负压保护等功能。
