RT9516 是适合可擕式应用的全集成、低成本的单节锂离子电池充电 IC ，它可用交流电源转接器和 USB 介面进行供电。当两个输入都不存在时， RT9516 进入睡眠模式。RT9516 采用优化的方式完成充电任务，可自动选择预充模式、快充模式和恒压模式进行充电操作，恒压模式将自动维持以确保电池总是处于充满状态。充电电流可用外部电阻进行调节。内部热回馈电路可对内核温度进行调节，使得它在任何可用工作温度范围内都可以最佳的充电速率进行充电。它的 VIN 端子可以承受最高 28V 的电压，其它特性包括欠压保护、和对交流电源转接器的过压保护。RT9516 还包含了一个启动辅助电路，它对输入电源和电池连接状态进行检测，可在适当状况下输出一个信号 ( ABO ) 以启动系统。RT9516 采用了小型的 WDFN-8L 2x2 封装以满足 PCB 空间和 BOM 成本低的综合要求。
