RT9921内含一个高性能Boost转换器、一个低压差线性稳压器、一个门极脉冲调制器（GPM）、一个电压检测器、一个VCOM缓冲器（单位增益的运算放大器）和一个生成VGH的电荷泵控制器，专门用于为动态矩阵薄膜电晶体液晶（AM-TFT-LCD）显示器供应电源。</br>Boost转换器的作用是为显示幕源极驱动IC提供电源，它是以640kHz或1.2MHz的频率工作的电流模式调节器，内部集成16V/0.2Ω的N-MOSFET功率开关，容许使用小型电感和陶瓷电容，对脉冲负载具有快速瞬态回应能力，效率高达90%以上，可从低达2.5V电压获得高达15V电压，有软启动电容可对软启动特性进行调节以避免输入端的电流冲击。</br>当输入电压为3.3V时，低压差线性稳压器可提供350mA的输出能力，它使用内建的P-MOSFET作为调节元件，适合为定时控制器提供电源供应。</br>GPM是受定时控制器提供的帧信号控制的门极开启电压（VGHM）调制器，它作为闪烁补偿器以降低门极线与图元之间的耦合效应。它具有在上电过程中延迟门极开启电压的作用，借此获得正确的门极驱动IC上电时序，门极开启电压的上电延迟时间和下降时间可通过外加电容和电阻进行设定。</br>电压检测器可在检测到输入电压太低时发出一个重定信号，检测阈值可通过一个外部电阻分压器进行设定，延迟时间则可通过一个外部电容进行设定。</br>VCOM缓冲器的作用是提供液晶显示器的VCOM电压，它具有140mA的短路负载能力、12V/μs的变化速率、12MHz频宽和轨到轨的输入、输出能力。</br>VGH电荷泵控制器为液晶屏提供门极开启电压，它通过将感知到的输出电压与内部参考电压进行比较来实现输出电压的调节过程。
