RT9971 是为数位相机（ DSC ）和其它掌上型设备供电的完整电源配置。作为一个多通道的电源管理 IC ， RT9971 包含了2路升压型 DC/DC 转换器，2路降压型 DC/DC 转换器，1路升压/降压可选的 DC/DC 转换器，1路反相 DC/DC 转换器和1路 WLED 驱动器。</br>RT9971 以如下配置为 DSC 应用服务：</br>CH1 的同步升压输出为马达或 DSC 系统 I/O 部分供电。</br>CH2 是一个同步升压/降压可选的转换器，其输出为马达或 DSC 系统 I/O 部分供电。</br>CH3/4 的两路同步降压输出为 DSP 内核和记忆体部分供电。</br>CH5 是一个输出高压的升压电路，为 CCD 提供偏压 。</br>CH6 提供反相了的负压输出，为 CCD 提供偏压 。</br>CH7 是一个升压电路，其高压输出用于驱动 WLED 背光源。</br>要将 CH2 设定为升压或是降压电路，可以通过 SEL 引脚的不同配置实现。在所有的转换器中，共有5个通道包含了内置的补偿电路。RT9971 通过使用反相转换器为 CCD 提供负偏置电源，避免了使用变压器。所有的同步升降压电路都可以达到高达95%的效率。 IC 为 CH1/5 准备了负载断开开关。RTC_LDO 和 SW1 公用一个电路资源，具体使用那种电路可由 CN 引脚进行选择。</br>RT9971 可用于锂离子电池或两节碱性电池供电的场合，它提供了完整的保护功能，例如 WLED 开路保护、电流限制、热关机、过压保护和欠压保护等。RT9971 的封装是 WQFN-40L 5x5 。
