RT9991 是供固态硬碟（ SSD, Solid-State Drive ）使用的3通道 PMIC，其中包含了3路同步 Buck 架构的 DC/DC 转换器和一个电压检测器。它提供了3个独立的使能引脚用于时序控制，还具有输出关断时的自动放电功能以满足 NAND Flash 记忆体的电源需要。它的3个 Buck 通道分别采用了高达 1.5MHz （ Buck1/2 ）和 2MHz （ Buck3 ）的工作频率，这容许在设计中使用小尺寸的电感以满足可擕式应用在空间和高度上的限制。为了最大限度地提升电源的表现，RT9991 在设计上采用了极低静态电流的方案，每个 Buck 转换器工作在待机模式下的消耗仅有 70μA 。RT9991 的封装是 VQFN-32L 5x5 。
