RT8099 是一款脈寬調變 (PWM) DC/DC 降壓轉換器，可在 2.7V 至 5.5V 的寬輸入電壓範圍內提供 0.6A 輸出電流。RT8099 非常適合由單節鋰離子電池供電的可攜式電子裝置，例如手機、PDA 與手持式終端。具低 R<sub>DS(ON)</sub> 的內部同步整流器可大幅降低 PWM 模式下的導通損耗。實際應用中無需外部蕭特基勢壘二極體。當一般 PWM 無法提供穩壓輸出電壓時，RT8099 會透過持續導通高側 P-MOSFET 進入低壓差模式。當 EN 腳位被拉低時，RT8099 會進入關斷模式，且耗電低於 0.1μA。由於 1.5MHz 高切換頻率，切換漣波可透過小封裝濾波元件輕易平滑化。其他功能包括軟啟動、自動放電、較低內部參考電壓、過溫保護與過電流保護。RT8099 採用小型 UDFN-6L 1.6x1.6 封裝，可節省 PCB 空間。
