RT8109為用於驅動兩組N-MOSFET的單相同步降壓型 DC/DC PWM 控制器，可提供高精確率、可設計的輸出電壓，可藉由內部的0.6V ±1%參考電壓以因應低調節電壓的需求。RT8109應用單回授的PWM電壓模式控制以因應快速的暫態回應。高驅動能力使它適用於大輸出電流應用，固定的操作頻率300kHz降低了所需外加電感與電容的元件大小並節省PCB面積。RT8109同時支持tracking mode和stand-alone loop control mode。Standalone mode簡單，而tracking mode提供更佳的彈性。RT8109整合了過電流保護、過電壓保護以及欠電壓保護於WDFN-10L 3x3封裝。
