RT8203 為雙開關型電源供應器(Switch Mode Power Supply ,SMPS)的驅動控制器，適用於電池驅動系統的應用。RT8203包含兩組脈波寬度調變(PWM)控制器，輸出可調範圍為2V至5.5V，亦可適用於固定5V或3.3V的應用中。此外並包含兩組線性調節器，可提供5V與3.3V的固定電壓輸出。每組線性調節器可提供至100mA的輸出電流以供應SMPS 的自舉電容充電應用。RT8203包括上電順序、電源良好信號指示(PGOOD)、內部緩啟動以及輸出放電緩關機功能以防止關機過程的負壓產生。RichTek專有的Mach-PWM™ 具備“即時”回應、PWM固定導通時間的控制架構不需透過電阻感測即可進行操作，並能在固定的切換頻率下針對負載的暫態變化提供100ns快速回應。獨有的超音速模式可讓頻率操作在25kHz 以上，降低在音訊應用上的干擾。其他特色包含二極體模擬，增加在輕載應用時的效率、PWM固定頻率操作模式，降低RF干擾。RT8203 提供由腳位輸入訊號決定切換頻率的功能，允許SMPS的輸出5V/3.3V的操作條件分別在200kHz/300kHz或 400kHz/500kHz 工作頻率。RT8203提供SSOP-28 的封裝。
