RT8234 是同時集成了一個3A線性穩壓器的低成本同步 Buck PWM 控制器，可將筆記型電腦中的電池高電壓轉換為低電壓供系統使用，具有轉換效率高、瞬態回應特性好、輸出電壓精度高等特點。採用固定導通時間控制架構的 PWM 控制器可在維持基本固定工作頻率的情況下面對寬闊的輸入/輸出電壓比，在負載發生瞬變時提供即時回應的能力。在音訊應用中，控制器可被設定在超聲工作模式（USM）以維持高於 30kHz 的工作頻率，避免造成音訊干擾。RT8234 無需使用昂貴的電流檢測電阻，可為 CPU 內核、晶片組、DRAM 和其它低壓負載提供低達 0.75V 的電源供應。內部整合的 3A 低壓差線性穩壓器具有快速瞬態回應特性，僅需使用 20μF 陶瓷輸出電容即可穩定工作。線性穩壓器的輸入來自於外部電源供應，最大程度地降低了總的電源消耗。RT8234 以 WQFN-16L 3x3 的封裝供貨。
