RT8457 是隔離式 LED 驅動器的二次側調光控制器，設計用於 E27/GU10/T5/T8 之類的燈具之中，它們既有安全性和可靠性的需求，同時也需要高效率和極高的 LED 電流精度。RT8457 在設計上包括1）一個閾值電壓為 170mV 的定電流調節放大器，使用一隻電阻即可獲得可程式設計的 LED 串電流，精度可達5%；2）一個過壓比較器，用於保護 LED 開路或斷裂後的輸出電路；3）一個光電耦合器的驅動電路，它將控制信號發送至變壓器的一次側，用於形成完整的系統環路。精確的調光是通過在變壓器二次側對 LED 電流進行模擬調節實現的。將高於 1.1V 的電壓施加到 ACTL 端將使 LED 電流檢測門限落在最高值（約 170mV）上，這對應著 LED的最大電流，它是由 LED 端和 GND 端之間的電阻值決定的。調低 ACTL 端的電壓即可減小 LED 電流檢測門限。RT8457 的封裝是 SOP-8。
