RT8464 是一款隔離式次級側 6 通道 LED 驅動器，可為各 LED 燈串提供高度一致的 LED 驅動電流。內建光耦合器驅動器，可配合變壓器初級側控制電路調節 LED 電流。LED 電流透過高增益放大器進行線性控制，藉由驅動光耦合器來控制初級側，因此無需傳統次級側 DC/DC PWM 轉換級。RT8464 會自動選擇並調節電壓最高的 LED 燈串，因此允許各 LED 燈串之間存在電壓差異。在運作期間，裝置可自動偵測並切離未連接或損壞的 LED 燈串，使其不再參與 PWM 控制迴路，以避免輸出電壓 VOUT 發生過電壓情況。各通道的 LED 電流皆可透過對應通道上的外接電阻簡單設定。RT8464 提供三種便利的調光方式：其一為類比調光，可透過外部電壓線性控制亮度；其二為真正的數位 PWM 調光，可透過控制 LED 電流占空比實現亮度調節；其三則可利用 ACTL 腳位搭配外接電容形成低通濾波器，將 PWM 調光訊號轉換為低雜訊類比調光訊號。其他保護功能包括輸出過電壓保護及過溫關機保護。RT8464 採用 SOP-28 封裝。
