RT8567 是一款高效率的白光 LED 驅動器，設計用於驅動一個 LED 陣列作為 LCD 屏的背光源。它包含一個電流模式 Boost 轉換器，用於驅動多達6個並聯連接的 LED 串，每串 LED 可以是多達12只 LED 的串聯，與每串 LED 連接的電流源的吸入电流匹配誤差在最大 ±2% 以內，確保各 LED 串之間的亮度一致性。為了給電流源吸入电流的操作預留足夠的空間，Boost 控制器對各個回饋引腳中的最低電壓進行監測並進行調節，同時確保得到一個最優的轉換效率。RT8567 的輸入電壓範圍為 2.7V~24V ，可輸出 5mA~40mA 可調的 LED 電流，其內部功率開關的導通電阻為 250mΩ ，耐壓為 43V ，工作在電流模式的控制器提供逐週期的過流保護，集成化的 PWM 調光功能可實現精確的 LED 電流控制。 PWM 輸入調光信號的頻率範圍可在 200Hz~25kHz 之間進行選擇，調光過程不會導致 LED 上的衝擊電流和電感上的衝擊電流。功率開關的切換頻率也是可調的，其範圍為 500kHz~2MHz，這使得效率和元件尺寸的選擇可以很靈活。
