RT8848 是使用 PWM-VID 介面、符合 nVidia OVR4i+ 規範、可工作於 8/7/6/5/4/3/2/1 相的多相同步 Buck 控制器，可使高性能影像處理器發揮出其最好的性能。它採用立錡獨有的以有限直流增益誤差放大器為基礎的電流控制模式的 AC G-NAVP™ 控制架構 ，其工作頻率即使在電流連續模式下亦可隨 VID、負載和輸入電壓的變化而自動變化以實現轉換效率的最優化，既支援通過 DCR 網路實現對電感電流的檢測，也接受直接來自智慧功率級的電流監測信號。</br>RT8848 可接受外部參考輸入和 PWM-VID 動態輸出電壓的控制，其輸出電壓將自動穩定並自動跟蹤外部參考電壓的變化。通過 PINSETx 即可設定 RT8848 內部 RAMP 信號的幅度，這能優化其穩定性和負載瞬變回應的性能。RT8848 具有包括過壓保護、欠壓保護、通道過流限制、總輸出電流限制和過熱保護等在內的故障保護功能。建議結面溫度範圍為 -40°C 至 125°C。
