RT8870是應用於AMD SVI移動CPU電源供應的雙輸出PWM控制器。RT8870提供一個兩相PWM控制器給CPU內核（VDD）和一個單相PWM控制器以驅動CPU的北橋部分（VDDNB）。兩相PWM控制器因應用的靈活性，可配置於單相PWM控制器。此產品整合三個MOSFET驅動器，並與AMD穩壓器規範完全相容，可以滿足AMD移動CPU供電需求。<br>RT8870採用立錡專有的 G-NAVP<sup>TM</sup> (Green-Native AVP，綠能原生適應性電壓定位) 技術和 CCRCOT（Constant Current Ripple Constant On-Time，固定電流漣波固定導通時間）控制架構。CCRCOT控制對整個輸入/輸出範圍提供優異的輸出電壓紋波性能。G-NAVP<sup>TM</sup> 使產品易於設定、控制，可滿足 AMD 移動 CPU 的所有壓降要求。其壓降特性可通過對誤差放大器的直流增益進行設定而實現。通過適當的補償，負載瞬態響應可以實現優化的AVP性能。VDD和VDDNB輸出都可以選擇壓降功能。RT8870使用串列VID介面（SVI）進行單獨的控制器輸出電壓和運行模式設計。內置的高精準度DAC可以將串列VID代碼轉換為精準度為0.8%的0.5V至1.55V輸出電壓。本產品支援VID即時和運行模式轉換，完全符合AMD規範的即時功能。VDD和VDDNB控制器都提供二極體模擬模式，以在節能模式下提高輕負載條件下的效率。<br>RT8870支援電感 DCR 和電阻電流檢測，還提供power good指示和完整的故障保護功能，包括過壓、超出規格、負電壓、過壓、欠壓鎖定和熱關斷。<br>RT8870採用WQFN-40L 5x5小型封装。
