RT8876是符合 VR12/IMVP7 規格的 CPU 電源供應控制器，其中包含兩個通道：一個為 CPU 內核供電的集成了3組驅動電路的 3/2/1 相同步 Buck 控制器；一個為 AXG 供電的單相 Buck 控制器。 RT8876 採用了立錡專有的源自有限直流增益補償器的電流模式控制架構的 G-NAVP™（Green Native Adaptive Voltage Positioning） 控制技術，使之成為容易使用的 PWM 控制器，符合 Intel CPU 的 AVP 需求。在 G-NAVP™ 的支持下，RT8876 也同時具有了在負載瞬變期間的快速回應機制以優化 AVP 性能。RT8876 支援不同工作狀態下的模式切換功能。一個內建的串列 VID （SVID）介面可在 RT8876和符合 Intel VR12/IMVP7 規格的 CPU 之間進行通訊，它可以三種不同的電壓/電流 變動率支援 VID 動態修改功能：快、慢和自然變換。借助 G-NAVP™ 的支援，即便是在電流連續模式下，RT8876的工作頻率也可隨 VID 、負載電流和輸入電壓而變化以盡可能優化其效率表現。它內建的高精度 DAC 轉換器可將 SVID 編碼轉化為 0.25V~1.52V 的電壓，步進級差僅為5mV。RT8876還集成了一個高精度的 ADC 用於平臺設定功能，用於諸如無負載偏壓 或過流保護水準的設定。
