RT8889 是符合 VR12.5 規格的、集成了3組驅動器的3相 CPU 供電控制器。它採用立錡專有的源於有限直流增益補償的電流模式控制技術的G-NAVP<sup>TM</sup> （Green Native AVP）控制架構，使之成為易於使用的 PWM 控制器，完全滿足 Intel CPU 的 AVP（Active Voltage Positioning）需求。在 G-NAVP<sup>TM</sup> 架構的基礎上，RT8889 還同時具有在負載瞬變期間的快速回應機制以優化其 AVP 性能， 支援在不同操作狀態下的模式轉換功能。它集成了一個串列 VID（SVID）介面以方便和 Intel VR12.5 相容的 CPU 進行通訊，以快、慢和自然變化三種不同的電壓/電流 變動率支援 VID 運行中改變功能。借助 G-NAVP<sup>TM</sup> 架構的支援，其工作頻率可隨著 VID、負載和輸入電壓的變化而變化，即使處於 CCM 狀態下，其效率也能得到最大化的提升。在 G-NAVP<sup>TM</sup> 架構的基礎上，CCRCOT （Constant Current Ripple Constant On Time，固定電流漣波固定導通時間）技術使輸出電壓漣波在全輸入、輸出範圍內表現出極高的性能。內建的高精度 DAC 將 SVID 編碼轉換為 0.5V~3.04V 電壓，其間級差為 10mV。內部整合的高精度 ADC 可用於進行無負載偏移量或過流閾值之類的基礎設定。它還具有如過壓保護、欠壓保護、負壓保護、過流保護和欠壓鎖定之類的保護功能。其封裝為 WQFN-40L 5x5。
