RT8894 是一款多相 PWM 控制器。此外，它符合 AMD SVI2 電壓調節器規範，可同時支援 CPU 核心（VDD）與 CPU 北橋部分（VDDNB）供電。RT8894 採用 G-NAVP™（Green-Native AVP），此為立錡的專有拓撲。G-NAVP 使控制器更容易設定，以滿足 AMD AVP（Adaptive Voltage Positioning）的所有需求。透過設定誤差放大器的直流增益即可輕鬆程式化下垂（droop）。在適當補償下，負載瞬態響應可達到最佳化的 AVP 表現。RT8894 使用 SVI2 介面控制 8 位元 DAC 以設定輸出電壓與操作模式，並支援動態平台主控（dynamic platform master）。並提供 I<sup>2</sup>C 介面以進行進階電源組態設定與監控。RT8894 亦具備可程式化的電源狀態，可針對不同狀態設定不同的運作相數、超頻偏移（over clocking offset）、切換頻率、負載線（load-line）與保護設定。平台主控可透過 I<sup>2</sup>C 介面依不同工作情境最佳化電源的效能與效率。RT8894 亦提供 Power Good 指示、過電流指示，以及針對 AMD SVI2 CPU 核心與 NB 的雙 OCP 機制。並具備完整的故障保護功能，包括過電壓、欠電壓與負電壓保護。
