RT9296是一款 Boost 架構升壓轉換器，採用固定頻率的 PWM 控制器和同步整流器以獲得效率的最大化，可用于以單節、兩節鹼性電池、鎳氫/鎳鉻電池為電源的產品中。當轉換器處於輕載狀態下時，此轉換器將進入節能模式以維持高轉換效率，以此保證在任何負載條件下的高效率運作。RT9296的輸出電壓可由外部電阻分壓器進行設定，也可提供固定電壓的版本。在沒有被使能的情況下，它的消耗極低，其輸出可被完全切斷以阻止其消耗任何電能。轉換器功率開關的峰值電流被限定在2A。當轉換器進入電流不連續模式時，RT9296可進入低EMI模式（抗振鈴模式）以降低開關節點的振鈴信號，這一功能是可選的。此外，RT9296還集成了一個線性控制器以實現線性穩壓器的功能。
