RT9451 是支援 USB On-The-Go(OTG) 應用的開關模式單節鋰離子/聚合物電池充電器，具有 USB D+D- 檢測能力，還同時集成了一個 50mA 的低壓差線性穩壓器。</br>其充電電路中集成了一個 375kHz PWM 控制器和功率開關，具有輸入電流檢測和調節、最低輸入電壓調節（MIVR）、高精度電流電壓調節和充電終止功能。它以三個階段完成充電過程：預充電，定電流快充電和恒壓涓流充電，充電過程中的輸入電流被自動限制在主機所設定的閾值以下。充電過程的終止條件是用戶可選的最低電流水準，而一旦電池電壓下降到低於複充的閾值，新的充電迴圈就會被重啟。受I<sup>2</sup>C 介面控制的具有重定控制能力的安全計時器為充電過程提供了安全備份。一旦外部電源被移除，充電器就自動進入睡眠模式或高阻模式。充電狀態經 I<sup>2</sup>C 介面或 STAT 引腳向主機報告。D+D- 檢測電路容許自動進行 USB 介面或牆式充電器的檢測，一旦檢測到牆式充電器的存在，輸入電流限制就自動從 500mA 增加到 975mA。</br>在OTG模式中，PWM控制器將電池升壓至5V並提供高達1.6A電流到USB輸出。在負載很輕的條件下，升壓操作在突發模式下以優化效率。OTG模式可以通過 I<sup>2</sup>C介面或GPIO控制使用。
