RT9502 是適合可擕式應用的全集成、低成本的單節鋰離子電池充電 IC ，它既可用交流電源轉接器供電，也可用USB介面進行供電，而且會自動的對這兩種輸入進行檢測並從中選擇合適的輸入作為充電電源。當兩個輸入都不存在時，RT9502即自動進入睡眠模式。RT9502採用優化的方式完成充電任務，可自動選擇預充模式、快充模式和恒壓模式進行充電操作。當充電電流降低到預設的充電電流時，充電過程自動終止。當電源來自 USB 介面時，充電電流可在 100mA 和 500mA 之間進行選擇。當使用交流電源轉接器進行充電時，充電電流可用外部電阻進行調節，最大值可達 1A 。它內部的熱回饋電路可對內核溫度進行調節，使得它在任何可用工作溫度範圍內都可以最佳的充電速率進行充電。RT9502 的交流電源轉接器輸入端子和 USB 輸入端子 分別具有 18V 和 7V 的電壓耐受能力。它的其它特性包括欠壓保護、對交流電源轉接器供電端的過壓保護和電池溫度監測。
