RTQ4550 是一款 6 通道 LED 驅動器，搭配一個 DC-DC 控制器，每個通道可提供 200mA。其電流模式（current-mode）的開關式 DC-DC 控制器支援升壓（boost）或 SEPIC 拓撲，操作頻率範圍為 300kHz 至 2.2MHz。此裝置可接受寬範圍 3V 至 40V 的輸入電壓，並可承受車用冷車啟動（cold crank）與負載突降（load dump）事件。內建電流汲取器（current sink）提供最高 3.5% 的電流精度與通道間失配控制，以確保每串 LED 具有優異的亮度一致性。RTQ4550 會在運作期間自動偵測並將未連接與/或斷線的 LED 串從控制迴路中斷開，以避免 VLED 過電壓。為提供電流汲取器運作所需的足夠裕量（headroom），升壓控制器會監測 LEDx 腳位的最低電壓，並調節最佳化的輸出電壓以提升電源效率。RTQ4550 具備標準 I<sup>2</sup>C 數位介面，用於功能設定。此外，升壓開關頻率與 PWMO 頻率可透過外部電阻或 I<sup>2</sup>C 介面進行程式化設定。完整的診斷資訊亦可透過 I<sup>2</sup>C 介面取得；當出現異常狀況時，裝置會送出狀態訊號給系統。RTQ4550 提供 38 腳 VDFN 封裝，工作溫度範圍為 −40°C 至 125°C。
