RT1988 提供理想二極體（Ideal Diode）反向電流阻斷功能，具有低正向壓降特性，並提供使能（Enable）控制輸入以實現負載斷開功能。其輸入工作電壓範圍為 3.4V 至 53V，連續輸出電流能力可達 8A，非常適合多埠 USB Type-C Sink 電流應用。此外，RT1988 具備 60V 絕對最大額定電壓（AMR）、20A 峰值電流能力（最長可達 10ms），以及欠壓鎖定（UVLO）、過壓保護（OVP）與過溫保護（OTP）等保護功能。 可調式軟啟動電路可設定輸出電壓上升速率，並有效管理高電容負載的湧入電流。在軟啟動期間，元件同時提供短路保護功能；內建 MOSFET 則具備低正向壓降與高安全操作區域（SOA）特性，可提升系統可靠度。 RT1988 採用 VDFN-20TL（5.2mm × 4mm）封裝，接面溫度工作範圍為 -40°C 至 125°C。
